1. Nigwar Sharif to Suntsir a 54 KM highway at Gwadar– Latest Gwadar News
On Saturday 5th December 2020, Deputy Commissioner Gwadar Major (R) Abdul Kabeer inaugurated the 54 kilometers long highway in the Gwadar region. The construction of this stretch will be completed with an estimated cost of Rs1256 million under the Omani Grant Project.
The provincial government has injected an amount of Rs 200 million for the project to ensure the best highway infrastructure in the Balochistan province. After the completion of the highway project, the local populations of remote areas of Gwadar district would get better infrastructure in terms of travel and subsequently access to other places as well.
On the directions from the Balochistan government, the construction organization is working hard day and night to ensure timely completion of the project. Highways play a vital role in the socio-economic development of any area. The present government is taking steps for the development of all areas of the district on priority.
The public has been assured that district administration will watch over, ensure quality material, and see to the timely completion of the project. Earlier in November 2020, PM Imran Khan Inaugurated the Hoshab Awaran section of Ratodero area Gwadar Motorway, and this 54 kilometers stretch is another addition to the greater road network of Gwadar as per the Master plan of Port City.

2. Balochistan Government starts Development on Border Markets
On 7th December 2020 Balochistan government initiated developmental works on the border front to uplift business and trade activities in the province. The inception of development on border markets will enhance the businesses in Gwadar as the first phase of development. Work is started from the border trade junction at Gadani and Mand Region of Gwadar district.
Meanwhile, opportunities are gathering at the doors of Gwadar with the initiation of trade at its Sea Port, up-gradation of berths at the port, rapid construction of Gwadar International Airport, Coal-Fired Power Plant, and completion of Eastbay Expressway.

3. Completion of Eastbay Expressway Scheduled in 2021
